Apple Releases Third iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 Public Betas

Apple has released the third public betas of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 for public beta testers, following the second beta launch just a week prior. Users enrolled in Apple's beta testing program can easily access the updates through the Settings app by navigating to General and selecting Software Update.

The new iOS 18 introduces Apple Intelligence, featuring AI tools for rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing text across various applications, along with custom image generation and emoji options. However, these AI functionalities are currently limited and not fully operational in the public betas. Additional enhancements include a redesigned Home Screen with customizable app icons and widgets, a revamped Control Center, and new scheduling features for the Messages app.

Other notable updates include Safari's webpage summarization ability, an improved Photos app focused on highlighting quality images, a dedicated Passwords app, and the introduction of Distraction Control to minimize interruptions from popups on websites. Overall, iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 bring numerous new features that enhance user experience, but many details remain to be explored in further updates.
