  • When Google announced the Find My Device network in 2023, it mentioned compatible trackers from Tile.
  • It now appears Tile is not currently working on an item locator that’s compatible with Google’s network.
  • A spokesperson for the company says it is focused on “integrating Tile’s technology into the Life360 map.”

It seems that Tile currently has no plans to release new Bluetooth trackers compatible with Google’s revamped Find My Device network. When Google introduced the Find My Device network in 2023, it mentioned that Tile would supply supported trackers. However, Tile is not actively working on an item locator compatible with Google’s network at the moment. Instead, the company is focusing on integrating its technology into the Life360 map, which also opens up Tile’s Finding Network to its 66 million Life360 membersNotably, Life360 is the only Bluetooth tracker dedicated to providing an anti-theft solution, emphasizing its commitment to safety and security1.

Google’s revamped Find My Device network relies on billions of Android devices to locate other Android devices using Bluetooth proximity, similar to Apple’s Find My network. It not only locates powered-off devices but also warns users of unwanted tracking. The current list of supported devices includes brands like JBL, Sony, and Pebblebee12.

While Tile won’t be part of this specific network, it continues to innovate and collaborate in other ways to enhance location-based finding for people, pets, and belongings. So, if you’re looking for a smart tracker, consider exploring alternatives like the Tile Pro or Apple AirTag
