Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra from the mainline Galaxy Tab S9 series that came out last year remains one of the best Android tablets you can buy right now. It may not bring too many changes to the table compared to its predecessor, but even the minor improvements come together to deliver a much improved experience overall. It hasn’t been that long since Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 slates entered the market, but it’s time to turn our attention toward what’s next for the company.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 series is starting to show its presence just in time to go against Apple’s new iPad Pro and iPad Air. There’s not much in the name of leaks and rumors surrounding the Galaxy Tab S10 as the rumor mills have been awfully quiet so far, but it’s easy to speculate what the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 lineup will bring to the market with whatever information we have at our disposal at the moment.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10: When we’re expecting it
Expect the new tablets to arrive some time in August this year

The Galaxy tablets typically make their way to the market in the month of August, with the Tab S6, S7, and the S9 lineup following an August release timeline. The Galaxy Tab S8 series was the only exception to enter the market in early 2022. It is, however, safe to assume that the upcoming tablets will follow their predecessor’s footsteps and debut some time in August this year, as the Galaxy S24 series phones have already launched with no sign of the tablet.
As far as pricing goes, we won’t be surprised to see a bump in the Galaxy Tab S10 series price this year. We say that because the base price of the Tab S9 jumped up $100 across all three models, which was already quite surprising considering the Tab S8 also had a $50 price jump compared to the Tab S7.
Just as a reminder, let’s look at the starting prices of the Galaxy Tab S9 series:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 (8GB + 128GB): $800
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ (12GB + 256GB): $1,000
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (12GB + 256GB): $1,200
Prices of the Tab S10 series could be in the same range, if not more. These prices are already a bit on the higher side, so it remains to be where the new lineup is headed in terms of the pricing.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10: Design
More of the same design?
We’ve been seeing a similar thin and unibody aluminum chassis for the Galaxy Tablets since the Tab S5 days, so it would be nice to see some improvement on the design front. It is, however, hard to reinvent the wheel, so we highly doubt that the Galaxy Tab S10 will see any major design changes. Galaxy Tab devices are already pretty high-end, too, and Samsung has already made the switch from LCD to OLED displays across all Galaxy Tab S9 models, so there’s not much we’re expecting in the name of major changes. It’s likely just going to be spec bumps, as we get into next.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10: Specs
Minor spec bumps?
There’s not much out there in the name of leaks and rumors regarding Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 lineup. The only thing we’ve learned so far are the model numbers of the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra models. The model numbers for the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus are said to be SM-X828U, SM-X826B, and SM-X826N. We’ve only seen one model number for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra so far, which is SM-X926B, but you can expect more to show up over time, as the Ultra model will also be available in various regions globally. This leak comes courtesy of Android Headlines, which says the tablets will debut internationally. There is no mention of the regular Galaxy Tab S10 model, but there’s no reason to believe that Samsung will ditch the regular this year.
The current generation of the Galaxy Tab S9 tablets are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is the regular version of the processor that can be found in the Samsung Galaxy S23. So if we were to guess, then we’d say the Galaxy Tab S10 series tablets will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that’s already out on the market. Keep in mind that these are just the regular variants, and not the custom ones which Samsung denotes with “For Galaxy” branding towards the end of their names.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 review: I finally don’t feel the need to upgrade
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the latest and greatest flagship chip in the Android world, and it fares pretty well compared to last year’s SoC.
We’re not expecting Samsung to make any other major changes, so expect to see similar memory and storage configurations, screen sizes, and more. It’s hard to tell what kind of changes we’ll see just yet, but we’ll update this space with more once we start seeing more leaks and rumors. In the meantime, let’s look at our wishlist for the Galaxy Tab S10 series, in which we’ve highlighted some ways Samsung can improve its current tablets.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10: Wishlist
Again, we don’t know much about the Galaxy Tab S10, so that’s the reason we’re going to add a bunch of our own wishlist items beyond simple presumed expectations. Warning, though, some of these are wild.
Make a better keyboard
The keyboard case props up the tablet off the table top, like Apple’s Magic Keyboard.
One of the things that a lot of Android tablets do well is keyboard attachments. The OnePlus Pad and the Lenovo Tab Extreme both have iPad-like keyboard. I’d love to see this come to the Galaxy Tab S10. You know, a simple and easier way to attach your keyboard to your tablet and get to work? The Current Book cover is more of a case than it is a keyboard, and I’d love an iPad Magic Keyboard solution, where you could simply slot your tablet onto a case, and have it “float” as you work. It just works so much more efficiently.
Make 5G standard
These days everyone is out and about with their tablets on the field. Last year’s Tab S9 Plus was the only model to offer 5G connectivity, so I’m hoping this year’s Tab S10 series has 5G connectivity across all the models. It’d be a great choice, meaning you don’t have to opt for a particular model if you want better connectivity when you’re away from Wi-Fi.
Improve the speakers, so we can use the tablet as a smart hub
One thing that Google did with the Pixel Tablet was include a speaker dock, so you could use the tablet as a smart home hub. It’d be interesting to see if Samsung can learn from this, and integrate some of that into the Tab S10 series. After all, Samsung does have Bixby, its own digital assistant. By boosting the quality of the tablet’s speakers, or selling a speaker accessory, Samsung can give us another reason to use it.
We can’t wait for Samsung’s new iPad competitors
And that’s all we have on the Galaxy Tab S10 tablets at the moment. We’re only a few months into 2024, and we expect to see more leaks and rumors later in the year, so stay tuned. If you don’t want to wait for the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup and want a new tablet right now, then consider checking out the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. It’s an excellent device that particularly excels at multitasking.
