Samsung Simplifies App Mirroring in One UI 6.1.1

Samsung has made app mirroring between Android devices and Windows PCs more convenient in its latest One UI 6.1.1 update. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Previous Annoyance:

    • Previously, when using Link to Windows to mirror an app from your Galaxy device to your Windows PC, users had to repeatedly approve the mirroring process.

    • This constant need for approval was monotonous and interrupted the seamless experience.

  2. Streamlined Experience:

    • With One UI 6.1.1, Samsung has improved the app mirroring process.

    • The necessary permissions for app streaming have been migrated into Android’s purpose-built implementation.

    • Now, users only need to approve mirroring once, and the permission page won’t appear repeatedly.

  3. How It Works:

    • When initially attempting to stream an app, users will see the “Link to Windows” permission page for phone information (apps).

    • After granting permission, the mirroring page allows users to set whether they want to allow mirroring “always,” “only this time,” or “don’t allow.”

    • Choosing “always allow” removes the constant permissions prompt.

  4. Device Compatibility:

    • Currently, this capability is available on Samsung’s recent foldables, including the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6.

This enhancement streamlines the app mirroring experience, making it more user-friendly.
