  • T-Mobile reportedly announced price hikes on some older plans to employees.
  • An apparent employee claimed that prices for affected plans could increase by $2 to $5 per voice line.
  • The carrier has now made the price change official.

Update: May 22, 2024 (12:16 PM ET): T-Mobile has officially announced it is raising prices on some old plans. According to the carrier, “Beginning June 5, the rate of your voice plan will increase by $5.00/line per month. And the rate of your connected device plan will increase by $2.00/line per month.” In the FAQ section at the bottom of the announcement, the reason for the price increase is attributed to rising costs and inflation.
